Project Fame Alumnus, performer, singer and songwriter has signed a record deal with Athena Records on Saturday the 15th of October, 2016.
The fast rising ‘RnB’ singer has remained unstoppable since he gave us songs like ‘Fall-In-Love’, Ijebu Girl, ‘Just In Case ft. Tiwa Savage’ and ‘Cross Your Mind’. You will also recall the massive success that was his concert ‘Isaac Geralds Experience 2’ which literally sold out the Hard Rock Cafe Lagos on Thursday the 11th of August, and where he brought his fresh edge to live music.
Naija and Alternative Music is just glad to see that Nigerian entertainment is paying more attention to alternative music and is supporting amazing talents like Isaac.
Congratulations Isaac Geralds! We can’t wait to see what you do next. We will definitely be following up on that!
I have come with my everyday apologies again. I’m sorry, things just keep on happening..
Anyway today I am bring you a really really fresh one. Dropped on the radio for the very first time today! And it’s really different. It’s an amazing spoken word piece with a soulfully rich hook by Tonie the Emperor and Narrator pHisayo. It’s a great story with a beautiful plot twist that I haven’t been able to get over since I heard it.
Been a minute… I’m sorry (again) I couldn’t bring you the #OldSchoolFriday song of last week. It just so happened.. Apologies again!
So guys.. This week Sir Shina Peters gets the #OldSchoolFriday jam of the week..
January edition of Afropolitan Vibes held like a couple of Fridays ago and Sir Shina Peters headlined the show! This show brought back memories of my 90s childhood when no birthday party was ever complete without Afro Juju on the playlist.. Y’all will agree with me that this song is a JAAAAAM!! So as you begin to prepare to turn up tonight, start of by shaking your body to AFRO JUJU
Welcome to the beautiful month of February.. I love February, the month of LOVE!! <3.. I love the build up to Valentine and how it always feels like you can actually see love in the air! For me, nothing says love like music! I’d say let’s start this wonderful season of love with this brilliant and colourful video from afro-soul dive ‘Aramide’. The song is titled ‘I don’t care’
I love soul music! So this song blew me away from the first day I heard it. The video is very spring-like and instantly makes me happy.. I love the message of the song too.. So for all those who don’t care.. Enjoy the video below
It’s time for another old school track! Let’s go down to the east and have a feel of Chief Stephen Osita Osadebe’s ‘Osondi Owendi! This track dates all the way back to early 80s.
This song places a lot of emphasis on instrumentation (as most old school highlife songs do). I especially love how it has a ‘spoken word-like’ beginning. I learnt the phrase ‘Osondi Owendi’ means ‘What is cherished by some is despised by some’. Quite profound!
So for the first time, I’m sharing a video on this blog! Yaaaay!
I’m very proud to say that Moses Audu is my friend… Such an amazing rapper and also a spoken word artiste. The amazing rapper released this gospel track December last year. It features beautiful singer/ model Malvina (I really love her voice).
Did you enjoy the video? Well I love it! You can buy the track on iTunes
