The fast rising ‘RnB’ singer has remained unstoppable since he gave us songs like ‘Fall-In-Love’, Ijebu Girl, ‘Just In Case ft. Tiwa Savage’ and ‘Cross Your Mind’. You will also recall the massive success that was his concert ‘Isaac Geralds Experience 2’ which literally sold out the Hard Rock Cafe Lagos on Thursday the 11th of August, and where he brought his fresh edge to live music.

Naija and Alternative Music is just glad to see that Nigerian entertainment is paying more attention to alternative music and is supporting amazing talents like Isaac.

Congratulations Isaac Geralds! We can’t wait to see what you do next. We will definitely be following up on that!

Hey guys,

I have come with my everyday apologies again. I’m sorry, things just keep on happening..

Anyway today I am bring you a really really fresh one. Dropped on the radio for the very first time today! And it’s really different. It’s an amazing spoken word piece with a soulfully rich hook by Tonie the Emperor and Narrator pHisayo. It’s a great story with a beautiful plot twist that I haven’t been able to get over since I heard it.

#OldSchoolFriday: Chief Stephen Osita Osadebe’s Osondi Owendi

Hey guys,

It’s time for another old school track! Let’s go down to the east and have a feel of Chief Stephen Osita Osadebe’s ‘Osondi Owendi! This track dates all the way back to early 80s.

osita osadebe

This song places a lot of emphasis on instrumentation (as most old school highlife songs do). I especially love how it has a ‘spoken word-like’ beginning. I learnt the phrase ‘Osondi Owendi’ means ‘What is cherished by some is despised by some’. Quite profound!

Enjoy this great Igbo highlife transaction below.

I definitely love this track! Do you?

TGIF!!
